So, what is a concordance? A concordance is just a list of words and the places you can find those words in a book. You might have seen one in a textbook, but it was probably called the index.
A Concordance is like an index in the Bible.
Your Fire Bible has an extensive concordance, or word reference list, included at the back to help you find Bible verses quickly and easily.
By looking up keywords in a sentence, you can find a verse for which you remember a word or two but do not recall its exact location.
For example, if you wanted to find out where the Bible says that the word of God is "sharper than any two-edged sword," you could lookup either "sharp" "sword" in the concordance and find that the verse is Hebrews 4:12.
Your Fire Bible also has a Glossary in the back of the Bible to help you understand some of the terms that might be unfamiliar to you.
In the glossary of your Bible, you can find the definitions of everything from “apostle” to “worship.” When you come across a word you don’t understand read your Bible, check the glossary for the definition.
