How to know God - Personal Confession

By Web Team | Grow

Having a Bible and reading it is only the beginning of knowing God. We must have a personal relationship with God.

You must personally respond to Jesus' sacrifice by turning from your old sinful life and trusting him to give you a new life.

Salvation through Christ is a free gift. Accepting it is an act of faith. Romans 10:9 gives the first step to salvation, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord believe in your heart that

God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

1 John 1:9 adds, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”

If you are ready to trust Jesus with your life, pray something like this:

“Jesus, I've gone my own way and sinned against You. Please forgive my sin. I believe You are God's Son who died in my place, then rose from the dead give me a new life. Thank

You for making me a child of God. I now surrender my life to You and Your purposes. Give me the boldness to confess my faith You to others. I ask this in Your name, Jesus.
